There are few treks that combine so many different landscapes and bring you so close to the base of 7,000 and 8,000 meter peaks in a such a short period of time as the Annapurna Base Camp Trek. The Annapurna Base Camp trek is one of the most popular treks in the Annapurna region. The trail goes alongside terraced rice paddies, lush rhododendron forests and high altitude landscapes with the Annapurna Range in view most of the times.

The setting of Annapurna Base Camp at 4130 m is unique and incredibly spectacular, set amidst the majestic peaks of Annapurna I (8091 m), Annapurna South (7219 m), Machapuchhre (6993 m) and Hiunchuli (6441 m). The lodges in the Annapurna Trekking Region are well equipped with extensive menus ranging from the typical Nepali dahl bath (rice with lentils) to pizza and chau mein. Hot showers are readily available as well.

The Annapurna trekking region is easily accessible with different trailheads starting just an hour or two away from Pokhara. The Annapurna Base Camp Trek can easily be done independently. It is possible to do this trek in all seasons, however, in the winter the Base Camp can sometimes be closed due to the snow level. In spring time the huge rhododendron forests are in full bloom which gives the trek an extra appeal.

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,300m/4,264ft)
Upon your arrival at Nepal our representative welcome you and assists to transfer in your hotel. Overnight at 3 star hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 02: Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara (823m/2,700ft)
After breakfast, we take a jeep or bus to Pokhara. On the way, we can see beautiful views of mountains, hills, villages and rivers. It takes around 6 hours.

Day 03: Drive from Pokhara to Lhandruk wand trek to Chomrong
After a short drive to Lhandruk, we begin our trek to Chomrong. Chomrong is a gateway to Annapurna Sanctuary Trek. It is also inhabited by gurungs, one of the ethnic groups of Nepal. It takes about 4 hours.

Day 04: Trek from Chomrong to Dovan
The trail decends until you cross a small bridge. After crossing bridge an uphill for an hour to Sinuwa Danda a small place with few lodges offering grand views of surrounding rolling green hills, from here walk into dense forest till Bamboo is reached, located near Modi River.From here an hour walk with gradual up to Dovan for overnight stop. It takes approximately 6 hours.

Day 05: Trek from Dovan to Machhapuchre Base Camp (3700m/12135ft)
We will gently ascend through the bamboo forests with varieties of Rhodhodendron and oak trees. From here walk on glacier and moraine around old avalanche area, after crossing a small bridge near Deurali before Machhapuchare Base Camp is reached. After Deurali tree lines disappears with only high alpine bushes and shrubs, our route climbs following Modi river upstream, walk gets pleasant for an hour and with steep up to reach at Machhapuchhre Base Camp for overnight. This place with few lodges located on the bottom of Mt. Machhapuchhre North Face. It takes about 6 hours.

Day 06: Trek from Machhapuchhre Base Camp to Annapurna Base Camp(4130 m.) and return back to Dovan
It takes around two hours to reach ABC from MBC, we can see the very close view of Mt. Fishtail, Annapurna I, Annapurna III, Annapurna South and so on. After a grand time at Annapurna base camp, morning walk on the downhill path all the way to Deurali, then with few ups and downs with gradual winding trail in the serene forest and back to the tree lines to Dovan or Bamboo for the overnight stay.

Day 07: Trek from Dovan to Jhinu Danda
We start our trek after breakfast, the trail from Dovan to Jhinu Danda is ups and downs. After the bridge an uphill walk for less than an hour reaching at Chomrong village for rest stop or lunch, after Chomrong with another up for half hour to the top of Chomrong ridge, then our route descends to Jhinu danda, for overnight stay, this place offers refreshing hot springs just 20 minutes walk downhill near Modi river. It takes around 5-6 hours.

Day 08: Trek from Jhinu Danda to Siwai and drive to Pokhara
We start our trek after breakfast. We walk through the rhodhodendron forest and the oak trees. It is about 2-3 hours trek. After reaching Siwai, we take a jeep to Pokhara and stay overnight in Pokhara.

Day 09: Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu

  • ITINERARY
